Emotional addiction comes from a lack of genetics, behaviour, attitude, relationship or spirituality. Emotional addiction is habitually or compulsively being engaged in or involved in something.

Emotions are holographic reactions to our experiences. There are chemicals for every emotional state one experiences. The hypothalamus makes peptides that it sends to thousands of receptors on a cell. They add to this and signal what goes into our cells. One becomes emotionally accustomed to the situation and as long as they do not change their attachments, emotions and beliefs about things, they remain addicted.

When you think about all of your experiences with the feelings you've attached to them—from the brain all the way down to your body cells—it's no wonder it's hard to let go of abusive relationships, people, food, and sex. No wonder it's hard to overcome drug and alcohol addiction, food addiction, gambling addiction, and more.

Everyone has their own way of living life. In such a situation, some people are very practical in life. So at the same time, most people start dealing with life situations quite emotionally. Especially in love, many people often become victims of emotional addiction. Emotional addiction is simply called emotional attachment. Emotional addiction is easily seen in most couples. Here's how to deal with emotional addiction:

Understand yourself - To come out of emotional addiction, first you have to understand your feelings. In such a situation, try to know what habits you have become a victim of. Only then can you focus on making changes in those habits.

Seek help of trustworthy - You can enlist the help of a trusted friend or family member to diagnose emotional addiction. Ask them some questions related to your behavior and try to know the changes happening inside you.

Take healthy diet - Sometimes people are not able to change some of their habits even after wanting to. However, in order to strengthen the intention of change, it is necessary to remain healthy of mind. In such a situation where the mind becomes lethargic due to eating sugar, gluten and processed food. On the other hand, you can easily control your habits by taking a diet rich in fruits, green vegetables and nutrients.

Meditate daily - Meditation can be a good option to control your emotions. By doing meditation, you not only connect with yourself but you can also see your strengths and flaws closely. In such a situation, you can easily change your thinking by looking at your habits and at the same time get rid of emotional addiction.
