People trust Ayurveda but they don’t trust the doctors and the medicines.

Ram N Kumar is a passionate entrepreneur where is committed to creating equitable and affordable healthcare for all. He is the Founder and CEO of NirogStreet which is today India's largest community and commerce platform for Ayurveda doctors. Having grown up in a village that had no electricity and no healthcare access, he started NirogStreet to promote the benefits of Ayurveda globally by helping digitize the market. Ayurveda is important to him because it helped save his life. He was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in his early youth and his health deteriorated to a point where he was on drip to survive. His doctor had tried all he could using western medicine but nothing really worked for him so he recommended that he change course and shift to Ayurveda. After 3 years on Ayurveda, he was fully cured and healthy again. While being bedridden and going through treatment opened up about the issues the sector faces. People trust Ayurveda but they don’t trust the doctors and the medicines.  It was during his journey that he realized the biggest problem facing the industry: trust. He started Nriogstreet to bridge the trust gap and make Ayurveda trusted and mainstream. NirogStreet is truly an Idea of India, made for the world. Previously he co-founded multi-specialty marketing technology company Marketech and not for profit Centre for Civil Initiatives.
