1. Follow a routine

You are at your home right now, whether you are working remotely or not you have to follow a routine. Try to get up early and go to bed early for a good sleep of 7-9 hours and in between this schedule your time table of doing your office work, food breaks, personal care, and time for you to relax. Follow these routines on a regular basis and do not skip any of this.

2. Be Active

Don't be Inactive. We all know life in this lockdown is monotonous and that’s boring and dull but that doesn’t mean that one will be lazy all day. We have to push ourselves and do some exercise to keep ourselves active and fit. Exercising is vital for both physical and mental health. Giving a hand to your mother in household jobs is also the best thing to be active.

3. Eat Healthily

This lockdown is all about fine Indian cuisine and recipes that people are making and uploading on social media but is it good for your health? No these are not good for your health. During this lockdown there is nothing better than eating healthy homemade food like salads, juices, green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains like brown rice, oats and Dark chocolate.

4. Cook for yourself something different

During this lockdown social media is all about great Indian food made at home like Samosas, Jalebi, Pav Bhaji and many more but we don’t think that consuming these food items can be so harmful to our body. At this time, we should cook something different yet healthy. We can always try different types of salads like Mexican salad, nutritional drinks, scrambled eggs, or different types of soups and smoothies. These dishes are tasty plus healthy for your body.

5. Stay Mentally Healthy

These times of crisis can be very stressful and hard for all of us. Seeing every day in the news people dying because of Coronavirus and much other bad news can make our mind a war zone, there must be mental pressure of work, surrounded by negativity, and stress can weaken your mental health. Doing Yoga and Meditation early morning in open fresh air is the best way to relax. Connecting to nature is also a good way to keep yourself calm and happy.

6. Do Workout at home.

Staying at home without any productive work can make us gain weight on major parts of our body. The fastest-growing fat can be on the belly, thighs and buttocks. Doing daily workout sessions can be a good way to reduce your fat and help you lose weight. Exercises like squats, push ups, lunges, abdominal crunches, planks, side planks, bridges are some of the best exercises that can help you reduce fat very fast.

7. Stay Hydrated

Water is very vital to our life. Our body uses water for everything like in all our cells, organs, and tissues that help our body to function properly. 60 percent of our body weight is made up of water, because our body loses water through many ways like breathing, sweating, and digestion so we need to rehydrate our body from time to time. There are immense benefits of drinking water. Keep a water bottle with you every time.

8. Avoid Excessively

Excess of anything is not good. Avoid intake of excessive coffee because too much caffeine can affect your sleep cycle. Avoid smoking and alcohol. They can make you worse.

9. Create a diet and fitness journal

Having a diet plan is important as you may know what you are taking in and in what amount and at what time. Create a weekly diet plan with your healthy dishes according to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

10. Spend time in Nature

It’s believed that if you live near greenery you’re less likely to be depressed and it boosts your happiness. Gardening is the best activity to keep yourself close to nature. Also sitting in sunlight is also beneficial for us as it gives us Vitamin D and it is also good for our skin.
